You know those Lululemon bags with the quotes splattered all over them? One of my favorites is “Creativity is maximized when you’re living in the moment.” But for this post’s purposes I’d like to tweak that to – Creativity is contagious.
Surround yourself with creative, innovative people and it’s ridiculously infectious. You start to realize, wait a minute, I’ve got a little piece of that magic myself. One of my favorite ways to fire up my creative mojo is seeing live music. Since I adore writing, I have a particularly strong affection for people who write their own stuff and have thoughtful + witty lyrics.
This spring/summer I have my sites set on three concerts in particular
1.) Ingrid Michaelson at the House of Blues May 15th (confirmed.done.ready to go.)
2.) Norah Jones at the Bank of America Pavilion on July 1st. (I LOVED this venue when I went to see Sara Bareilles last summer, and I seriously doubt Norah will disappoint.)
3.) Jason Mraz at the Comcast Center on September 7th. Jason has been on my please-come-play-in-Boston soon list for a couple years now, and I’m thrilled that it’ll give me even more reason to swoon over his LOVE is a Four-Letter Word album.
