Hug a bolster pose is one of the most calming, relaxing, simple poses out there. It’s very similar to child’s pose but even more effortless. Your body just gets all mushy — in a good way. Check out the pic above if all these yoga terms aren’t meaning much. That lady up there didn’t own a bolster, so she piled up blocks and blankets to do the pose. Bolsters are on the more expensive side so substitutes are always good. Look how peaceful she is!

A few other tidbits:

  • A good list of dairy alternatives from The Healthy Crush: Hint: It includes Coconut Bliss ICE CREAM that even I can eat! Yowzers, that’s a big victory for me.
  • A quote-able from The Daily Love: “Let your singing voice be heard. Paint the town any color you want. Flirt with life. You don’t owe anyone ANYTHING. Be amazing and love every square inch of yourself.”
  • My current veggie obsession: broccolini. Like broccoli but less aggressive, not quite as dense AND cooks faster.
  • Goals for this weekend: Become a better champion of wedding festivities. Cook a few new foods, maybe kale crisps or lemon drops. Clean my closets (inspired by this Bella Life post).
