I have often started various yoga classes bending and stretching in a variety of directions only to hear  a teacher say, “Set your intention for this class today. What do you want your practice to show you?  Where is it that you need to be more clear? Do you want to dedicate your practice to someone else, yourself?”

Setting intentions is a practice which stretches me mentally not just physically. It is a practice I adore on a yoga mat, but often lose in everyday life. It is practice I am slowly but surely getting better at.
